Smiling all the Way From A to Z -- Q

Today's letter is brought to you by the letter Q. It stands for...

QUIRKS

I dated a guy last year that had the most endearing quirks known to man. Here are a few:
  • He kissed my hand at the doorstep and then bowed before leaving, totally Jane Austen style
  • He drove a baby blue Vespa and adored it
  • We went on a date to drive a Zamboni. Kickin' awesome
  • His nick name was definitely quirky but it suited him well (I'm not going to tell you what it was, but it could sure scare you silly) Haha
Quirks make me smile because they aren't the norm; they are unique beyond measure. For instance, occasionally when I laugh, I snort. Yes, snort but not little snorts, it's like a pig ran into the room squealing type of snorts. This odd sound makes others laugh and me all the more.

Quirks make life funner (is that even a word) and livens up the moment.

What are some of your favorite quirks? Do you have a quirk that you'd like to share? Do you know anyone that has endearing quirks that you can't get enough of? Starting with the letter Q, what makes you smile?

PS: Refer to the blurb on the very top of my blogs sidebar to know why I am posting about what makes me smile. Go forward and smile!

    1. It was awesome, and I've heard not many people get the chance to be driven around or drive a Zamboni. Pretty nifty stuff.

  2. I like to imagine that my quirks are endearing, but sometimes I fear that they're just annoying :)

    1. I have the same fear. What if my pig snorting laughs really annoy people. That would be terrible.

  3. My husband's quirk is that he can make a pun out of EVERYTHING.

About my own quirks? Well, I like Kate's response. :)

  4. Quirks make the world interesting. I have always been one to fight against the efforts to normalize everyone and everything.

  5. Quirks are what make us individuals. Who wants to date someone that's been mass produced?

    1. Rob, you are quirky just because you said you are a totally unquirky person. Come out of the closet, man. Haha. I'm so glad I know you so well that I can joke around with ya!

    1. You did not fool me. I'm too able a bee. Ok, that rhyme sort of sucked. haha

  9. Was he into hockey? Sounds like a cool guy to me. Why didn't you take it further?

    1. Yup, he was a hockey lover and worked at a hockey ice rink place before, therefore he got to pull some strings for the date. Why it didn't go any farther? He'd already committed to a work position in another state. I'm glad he had the employment opportunity. It is good for him.

  12. Greetings Julia,

Just when you thought life couldn't get any better, you get a comment from me. Note my humble demeanour.

You have my full attention with this one. Quirky quickly quoting quotidian quotas questioning queasiness quintessentially. Quirkier the better, my friend.

Have a good weekend and happy alphabeting!

Gary, from the Z to A, all the way :)
