Smiling all the Way From A to Z -- C

Due to the Blogging From A to Z April Challenge, I will not be participating in the Insecure Writer's Support Group today. I hope that all my fellow IWSG'ers are doing well. Keep up the good work. Never give up!

What makes me smile that starts with the letter C? I shall tell you...

CHOCOLATE

Yes, nummy, gooey, soft, white, bitter, sweet, dark, milky, melting delicious chocolate. I'm a registered chocoholic. Well, if there was such a thing, I'd be registered and packing some dangerous goodies in my pocket--oh, never mind, they'd melt that way. But, I may have to attend some CA meetings (Chocolates Anonymous).

My favorite chocolate-coma-inducing treats are as follows (not necessarily in this order):

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
Moose Tracks Ice Cream
Kit Kats
Snickers
Cookies and Cream Hershey's Candy Bars
Andes Mints
Brownies
Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Squares

Starting with the letter C, what makes you smile? Are you a chocoholic? And what are your favorite chocolaty or sweet treats? Or are you more of a fruit sweets fan?

  1. Oh goodness. I do love chocolate. I just did someone at work a huge favor and she kept asking what she can do to repay me. I let he know she can just give me some chocolate.

What makes me smile- children, caring, cozy sweaters :)

    1. Cozy sweaters are lovely, especially with the winter Utah just survived. Negative degree Fahrenheit was not my idea of a good time.

  2. I'm definitely into chocolate--BUT--it has to be good, usually Belgian, milk and melt-y.

  3. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies!!! What?! I don't know what that is, but I must have it now! How have I lived for 40 years and have never had this? You must help me! Tell me what store, or if they're homemade, I'll be at your house in five. Just let me get my shoes...oh and probably a plane ticket cause I'm sure you live nowhere near me. :-(

    Great Post!

    1. Hey ya Karen,

My mom's recipe for pumpking chocolate chip cookies is amazing! I don't have it on hand right now, but I will post it soon. For now, I offer you an easy peasy way to make the cookies...

      One Spice Cake Mix
      One can pumpkin
      Mix together
Add chocolate chips (I add in butterscotch chips too)
Cook at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 18-20 minutes
      Enjoy!

  5. Yep, I'm a chocoholic and I love everything you listed except the pumpkin cookies. Don't like pumpkin. One of my favorites is Mint Oreo ice cream.

    1. I don't think I ever tried a Lion Bar while I lived in England. Bummer. I did like the Bounty though. Heaven sent that! I enjoy camping as well. I just was telling my dad today how I'm itching to do some backpacking this summer. :)

  9. I am definitely a chocolate kind of girl. One of my fave snacks is chocolate chip cookie dough. I like it even more than the actual cookies. :) And, right now, I really want some marshmallows covered in dark chocolate. But I don't have any in the house. In fact, I have no chocolate in the house at all. None. Short of getting dressed, getting in my car and driving all the way to Walmart for a chocolate fix, I kinda feel my night is ruined...

    1. Awww shucks, girl. Don't let the marshmellowy chocolatey goodness get ya down. Tomorrow is another day!

  10. I LOVE chocolate. With it being after Easter and everything, I have quite a bit of chocolate lying around in the house. Right now, temptation looks like a chocolate Easter egg wrapped in pastel foil winking at me.

New follower from A to Z. I look forward to seeing your other topics for this month.

    1. I had my fair share of Easter candy the last couple days (well, maybe not fair share, more like I became a gluttonous fool). Thanks for stopping by!

  11. Oh gosh, now I'm going to have to sneak some Dove chocolate eggs before I tuck into bed tonight... Like many of your commentators here, chocolate and I have a long, loving relationship!

  13. Ohh... andes mints. My favorite; so much so that I spread them over warm brownies after I bake them for frosting.

  14. You had me at "C is for chocolate." :-) I think it's hormonal. I'm stopping in from the A-Z. It's only Day 4 and I'm exhausted already from being up 'til midnight reading blogs. Love it! So nice to meet you! I'm a TV junky too. Visit me, if you'd like:
