Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover

I started reading Heist Society by Ally Carter the other day. I'm liking it lots. I have to admit the only reason why I chose to read this book was its cover. When I saw it, I knew I HAD to read it. Of course, I checked out the synopsis of it on GoodReads; that made me want to read it all the more. Look at it peeps...
Isn't it fantastic???
I bought Twilight for the same reason (btw, this was before it was the craze).

I've noticed that book covers have become amazing as of late. I swear a book cover can sell the book. Here are a few I've particularly loved and have made me read the book:

Which covers have encouraged you to read the book?

  1. Loved Heist Society. And Matched. I haven't read the others but I do have them on my list! Oh, and a gorgeous cover? Everneath by Brodi Ashton. SO beautiful! I'm definitely reading it just for the cover!

  2. Oh my goodness. I loved Hereafter. You should read Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini. I got both of them as ARCs in a giveaway by the publisher and they're in my tops for the books I've read this year.

Gorgeous cover...I really liked the cover to Kiersten White's Paranormalcy and the cover for Michelle Davidson Argyle's Cinders. The cover for Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush, Hush was really quite lovely and fit the book well. (Nothing irks me more than a cover that doesn't fit the book at least a little.)

I thought Possession's cover was quite striking.

I haven't read anything but Twilight and Hereafter of the books mentioned in this post.

  3. Chantele - Must check out Everneath. Yay for new books to add to my list-o-books to read.

Stephanie - Starcrossed is on my list *runs to GoodReads to double check* Loved Paranormalcy too (cover is amazing not to mention Supernaturally's cover). Hush, Hush was super cool too. Loved that book. Must look into Possession. You should definately read the other books I listed. Great reads. Those are only a few of the covers I've liked. Didn't want to put too many on here. haha

  4. I haven't read any of these though I might check out DELIRIUM and maybe MATCHED. Okay, and maybe HEREAFTER.

I usually don't like covers with people's faces on them, so I probably would never pick up HEIST SOCIETY or ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS.

I really liked Veronica Roth's DIVERGENT cover and Jackson Pearce's SISTERS RED and SWEETLY. And Maggie Stiefvater's SHIVER, LINGER, FOREVER, LAMENT & BALLAD. Just to name a few :)

  6. I've always liked the cover of BRAVE NEW WORLD. This is coming from a male. That may not be a cover that appeals to females??
