Writing Conferences – A Must for any Writer

I enjoyed my first writing conference yesterday. It was invaluable. All writers, aspiring all the way to published writers, must take advantage of the opportunity. Not only did I learn valuable information and writing tips, but also I gained one piece of much needed advice; I need to be in a critique group. Chris Schoebinger, a publisher who attended the conference, said if you want to be published, you must be in a critique group.
While at the conference, I found my critique group. Yah!!! A few of us decided that getting published was important enough to follow through with the advice. This excites me and should excite all aspiring writers to take this important step to making the dream of being published a reality.

  1. I totally had the same thought. I didn't find a critique group, though. I'm not sure I would have found a suitable group. I guess that statement means I gave up before I started.

  2. You can join my group. It is a bunch of women so I don't know if you would be interested.

  3. Yeah. I would like to. Only there aren't any writing conferences in Norway. There are extremely expensive creative writing classes, but no conferences.

  4. Oh that is sad. I am sorry. What is this world coming to when there are no writing conferences near all writers. Thanks for commenting on my post. We should correspond! You write fantasy? I really like fantasy. Yah for writers!
