Blog Tour, Book Cover, and It Happened to Me

By way of announcement and save the dates, I'm hosting a blog tour for my book, FÉLICITÉ FOUND, from August 12th (release day) to August 16th. Here's the banner:

I truly love it! Thanks be to my pops. More information to come about co-hosts and the such.

I'm totally pinching myself because of this entire self-publishing my book thing. This is an exciting and nervous-making and incredible and I-sort-of-want-to-throw-up experience. But it's time for me to proceed forward with my dreams.

The lovely Morgan Shamy hosted my book cover reveal on her blog last week. I'd like to give her a huge shout out for helping. She is amazing. Hugs!

I do have to admit I did change up the cover just slightly since then. Of course, I'm going to show it off here because I love it soooo much. Enjoy seeing it again... (Perty-ful)

Now for a random something funny...

I never thought this would happen to me:

I wore un-matching shoes on Tuesday. I didn't realize it until 2:30PM at work. And yes, I giggled up a storm and then showed off my mortification to a few coworkers. I had to! I totally couldn't pass up a chance to let others have a good chuckle. And chuckle they did! :D Who knows how I even let myself leave the house with this silly mistake walking me to the car and around work all day. I can say that I have worn two different shoes by accident now. Pretty swank, huh?

Are you excited about my book release? Don't answer that. Are you in love with my book cover? Don't answer that again. I don't need my head to get any bigger. JK Have you ever worn un-matching shoes without knowing it?

Hugs

The Outernet vs The Internet

I saw this the other day and thought it was hilarious.
Source

Those were the good old days when we had to use all of those "outernet" sources to complete tasks that take us minutes to do on the internet. I remember them... Yes, I remember researching for a paper at the library. Does that mean I'm old? haha

Anyway, I couldn't help but think about social networking as I laughed at this picture. I have met soooooo many great people while using Twitter and my blog. I swear, I wouldn't be where I'm at right now in in my writing journey if it weren't for social networking. The support I've found here is mind-boggling. I've found critique partners and betas on the internet. And I've actually only met one of them. Props to Morgan Shamy. I can't tell you how grateful I am for social networking. It has pulled me from having no idea what I'm doing to, uh well, knowing what I'm doing writing-wise.

If you've been following me long enough, you'll know I'm an advocate for using social networking during the writing process. It. Is. Priceless. How will people know you from the girl next door if you don't get your name out there? And the best part of social networking is you make amazing friendships along the way.

Back before the internet, I wonder how people actually got published. It is AMAZING to me. I bow in their glory. Seriously.

Anyway, did you laugh up a storm when you saw the Outernet picture? Have you found a lot of support from social networking? Have you found your CP's and betas from it? What are your thoughts on social networking?

Randomness on my Bloggy Friend

I'm pretty much in a giggly mood today, and pretty sure that everything I post today will make absolutely no sense, but I post anyway. Hopefully, I can get some laughs out of you on this fabulous Friday!

First of all, I went to dinner last night with the lovely, authoress Morgan Shamy. I know you’re all jealous, as you totally should be. The two of us had so much fun. Laughing, talking about writing, and encouraging each other to keep going. Seriously, I want Morgan to be my new best friend. What luck that we live like 15 minutes away from each other.

I have decided that the writing industry is by far the coolest industry ever. I love the bonds of friendship formed here. I love the creative atmosphere. I love how writers are all rooting each other on.

Now, I want to thank all of my new followers for joining my Bloggyworld and Twitterworld. With great surprise, between Saturday and today, I have gone from having 79 blog followers to 127. That is phenomenal. I could not have done it without you! Thank you for stopping by and sharing your love with me. Gracias. Merci. Danke. Arigato. Xie Xie. Grazie. I’m multi-lingual, too! Hehe

Whatever you do, don’t forget to enter to win an ARC of DIVERGENT by Veronica Roth. The contest closes Monday, March 28, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. MST. Follow this link to enter.

Last, this video makes me snarf every time I see it. Enjoy the Homestar Runner Fun! What’s your favorite Homestar Runner clip? Let me know cause I want some more giggles today!
